Senior Scratch Team on Fire!

The team were on fire! 

Matthew & Roger took on the number 1 pair and proceded to destroy their opponents.  The holes were littered with birdies.  On one hole Matthew called the birdie as the ball was still in flight.  Match won 2 & 1 against an exceptional pair who were 1 under on the back 9.

Our 2nd pair of Simon ( A late availability) and Ben started poorly.  But a surge of birdies and an eagle(  Ben holed out from 120 yards ) soon took them to a commanding lead . A 4 & 3 win ensued. A brilliant display of putting by Simon was the take of their opponents.

Colin & Ian , also had a poor start and were soon 2 down. Quality golf took them 1 up. However , an eagle by their opponents on the 13 th , brought the match level. A  superb birdie  on the 14th gave them the lead again and they coasted home 3 & 1 win.

A comprehensive win.  This result endorses the quality of the team and moves us favourably to a 3rd consecutive title.
