Dress Code
South Herts Golf Club wishes to uphold a simple dress code on and off the golf course which it expects all members, their guests and visitors follow. Meeting the below stated simple principles will remove the need for any possible embarrassment during your time at South Herts. All members of staff, have committee permission, to address any concerns regarding the implementation of the expected dress code, and will where necessary, offer advice on any alterations which are needed. Please note: that on occasions the Captain on their absence the General Manager or member of Main Committee may look to relax such stated dress rules.
On the Course
Collared shirts must be worn
- These may long or short sleeve
- Additionally these may be also be sleeveless for Ladies
Roll/Crew/Turtle/V-Neck/Hooded jumpers/tops may be worn
Tailored trousers/shorts
- Shorts must be worn with single coloured socks
- Additionally, Golf skirts may be worn
Golf Shoes must be worn on the Vardon Course
Outer clothing to protect against inclement weather may be worn
Please Note: Denim Jeans are not permitted on the course
Dining Room & Main Lounge
Smart casual clothing is expected from non-golfers
Golfers may wear clean golf attire as per the on course standards
Golf Shoes are only permitted when accessing the coffee machine
No outer clothing should be worn
Harry Vardon Bar, East Lounge,Dai Rees Swing Studio & Snooker Room
Smart casual clothing is expected from non-golfers

Terrace
Smart casual clothing is expected from non-golfers
Golfers may wear golf attire as per the on course standards
The following are not allowed on the course or in the clubhouse:
Sports Shorts, Cargo trousers/shorts, tracksuits, ripped/frayed jeans
Round neck t-shirts | Men may not wear sleeveless items
Unless in the locker rooms, bare feet or socked feet are not permitted
FURTHER NOTES
Please ensure all hats are removed inside the clubhouse
No golf equipment or storage items should be brough through the bar or lounge
