South Herts Golf Club

Juniors team win their inaugural GolfSixes event.

Michael Cutmore's developing Juniors programme came of age on Sunday when he put a team out to play in the GolfSixes Junior league which is a trial tournament developed in conjunction with England Golf, The Golf Foundation and the European Tour.

Six clubs form a league, with six players playing six holes and this week the event was hosted by South Herts Golf Club on the Rees course.

This is the first time SHGC has put out a Junior team but they won the day by 1 point and we are immensely proud of the team that include boys as young as 5 with a swing that Rory McIlroy would be impressed with.

The team shown in group photo comprised of Dylan Barney, James Sullivan, Seth Karrallis, Joshua Newman, Will Robson, Oliver Aghera.

There is a growing momentum in the club to develop a comprehensive junior programme and a new Juniors page will be visible on the website shortly which will be of interest to South Herts members who have young children and/or grandchildren. Well done to Michael for running this event.
