Saturday, 21st August 

Friday afternoon marked the start of 24 hours of fundraising for the Captains Charity with our Mixed 9 hole Greensomes event. This was won by Nataliya Allan, partnered by Tony Wolff with 21pts, closely followed by Liz and Ian Bennett with 18pts.

On Saturday the Captain hosted the Annual Charity Day. 

Both morning and afternoon players managed to escaping the deluge of heavy rainfall forecasted throughout the day. As in previous years, we held a double shotgun start to accommodate the field of 144 players, playing in a best two from four, better ball team competition, along with nearest the pin's and longest drive challenges.  

In between the morning and afternoon rounds our Captain, Colin Taylor managed to complete his delayed Drive-In from March. 

In the evening, we welcomed The Liverpool Echoes to help entertain our evening guests at the Captain's Supper and round off an excellent day's event raising in excess of £3,500 for the Captain's Charity, Barnet Carers; a small local charity who will truly benefit from our members' generous donations and support.
