Herts League Match Report - Sunday 16th May 2021

SHGC 7.5 - Old Fold Manor 4.5

On Sunday 16th May we had our first home match of the Herts League season taking on Old Fold Manor. I am pleased to say we got the win, 7½ – 4½.

We had a very good foursomes morning not losing a match; well done to Rob & Adam, Nick & Jamie and Myles & Emile. Shoutout to Emile who was making his official Scratch Team debut.
We may have got a bit wet, well more than a bit, but it was all worth it for the morning win! Thanks David for the Ham, Egg and Chips which we all enjoyed for lunch and then we were back out in the afternoon for the singles.

The singles proved much closer but with good wins from Rob, Liam, George and Nick we got enough points to secure the win! Thank you to everyone who came out to support us in the afternoon despite the rain and thank you to Sky and the team for all their help throughout the day.

I do want to say a big thank you to our very own 9th man, Colin Hardman. He was at the club first thing making sure we were all ok and was great support throughout the day. Thank you to everyone who played. I hope you enjoyed the day.

We have a little break now with our next Herts League game in early July.
