South Herts trailed by 12 points to 4 after the morning Fourballs, Matthew Cohen and David Owen being the only winners.
After lunch, South Herts won 7 of the 8 snooker matches (which carried 3 points for each match) to retain the Harry Vardo/J H Taylor Trophy.
