The Club prides itself in offering the very best amenities to our visitors.
With the main lounge and terrace affording wonderful views across the Vardon Course, green fee visitors and members alike can enjoy the relaxing ambience of the Clubhouse following their round of golf. Our attentive staff are always pleased to serve you, whether with a drink or two, a bar snack or a selection from the varied menu. Hot drinks are constantly available.
For the golf history enthusiast the array of golf memorabilia is truly impressive including a Harry Vardon scorecard, his first contract at South Herts, actual balls with which he won his "Opens", Dai Rees Ryder Cup Captain’s jacket and many pictures of some of the greatest golfers the world has seen. Few clubs can match South Herts’ heritage.
Societies may link their lap-tops to our overhead projector so that players ‘in the Clubhouse’ can easily be kept abreast, via the large drop-down screen, of the unfolding scores as they are entered. Should a society wish to have a ‘starter’ then our audio set-up with indoor/outdoor capability ensures no-one is likely to miss their slot!
While both the ladies and gentlemen’s changing rooms are fairly typical of those found at most clubs, the shower facilities of both are to a high specification and imposing standard. And, unlike many clubs these days, South Herts make towels readily available!
South Herts Golf Club was founded by the Committee and members of Muswell Hill Golf Club.
The 18-hole 6,435 yards Vardon Course is one of the longer courses in the local area.
Pro staff are always happy to advise members and visiting golfers on the most appropriate equipment.
The Vardon Course was originally designed by the twice Open winner Willie Park Junior.
The bars and lounges provide comfortable surroundings in which to enjoy a drink with friends after a game.
