Ladies Invitation Day

On Tuesday 17th July, 24 lady members invited 24 guests from other golf clubs to play in an Invitation Day. Guests included players from local clubs and clubs far away places such as Silloth & Windermere in Cumbria, Bramshaw and Rowlands Castle in Hampshire. We even had a guest of Tracey-Lee from Anthem, Arizona!! 

The day began at around 8am where players were greeted with coffee and biscuits in the lounge. It was a two-tee start off the 1st and 10th at 8.48am in groups of four, two members and two guests, with our Lady Captain leading us off. The format was four ball better ball stableford.

Results from the day are as follows:

1st Place:

Hazel Blackman ran a raffle in aid of The Eve Appeal which funds research and support for gynaecological cancers and raised £320.  Local businesses - Purple Lizzie, Love Jo and Becketts kindly donated some prizes. 

Again, the course and the weather contributed to another wonderful day of golf at South Herts. Thank you to all of our members and guests that took part in the event.
