Ladies' Captain's Day

On Tuesday 21st August Ladies' Captain's Day was enjoyed by 42 of our players. The format was a shotgun start in teams of three starting at 9am and stableford scores were counted both as a team and individually. The "twist" of the day was to play from the white tees on holes 7, 12 and 17 for double points.

The winner of the day was Jaine Forrest who scored 44 points on countback from Rebecca Hatjiosif. Jaine was presented with the Ladies' Captain's Salver and Prize, while Rebecca was presented with the Vice Captain's Prize.

Th team with the most stableford points was Debra Harvey, Jaine Forrest and Shamim Hirji, they really made the most of the double point holes and scored an extra 17 points!

Other prizes were awarded for the longest drive in all three divisions, and nearest the pin on the 14th hole (please see the social media accounts for more photos).

The day started with coffee and mini danish pastries and, after playing, a few jugs of pimms were enjoyed on the terrace before a Mediterranean style buffet.

Over £200 was raised for the Lady Captain's Charity from the players who placed a bet on beating Andrea's total score on 3 mystery holes. Those who did dipped into a lucky prize box.

The weather, the course and the company all contirbuted to another wonderful day.

Thank you to all the ladies that took part!
