Junior Membership

South Herts wishes to encourage more Junior (under 18) members to join our great Club. The Juniors section, collectively known as the South Herts Dragons, is an exciting and important part of the South Herts infrastructure and working in association with the Golf Foundation ‘Junior Coaching Scheme’ our PGA qualified team are looking to build a strong nucleus of players who will become the next generation of South Herts golfers.

Junior members have full use of the Rees course, and depending on handicap, may play the Vardon course at certain times. Juniors who show enthusiasm to improve may be offered free coaching with the head professional. There are numerous Junior competitions throughout the year, and the Junior team play in a number of inter-club matches during the season.

Help us build our golfing future by introducing junior members – whether sons, daughters, grandsons, grand-daughters, nephews, nieces or friends/neighbours’ children – to South Herts. The subscription for the balance of this year is just £50.

The Club also runs a Saturday morning coaching session, the Rees Academy, specifically for Junior ‘beginners’ (some as young as 5 years old attend). There is no subscription, just a single ‘pay-as-you learn’ fee per session attended.
