Catering Franchise

Golf has been played at South Herts since 1900 and the Club is steeped in golfing history with two of Britain's greatest golfers having held the title of Club Professional for a period spanning some 80 years.

The Clubhouse features glorious views from the bars, lounge and restaurant across the terrace and 1st Tee, to the undulating course landscape beyond.

The Club has an envied reputation for the quality of its catering both, for big events, less formal lunches and evening meals. The Sunday lunch carvery and Friday night fish and chips are particular favourites with the members. In addition, a full social calendar of events are consistently well patronised.

There is now an opportunity for a unique Franchisee Catering operation at the Club, and with regular society business, a healthy golfing and social calendar the opportunity exists to create an envied reputation by establishing a strong catering team.

A hospitality background would be ideal, and you will be hands-on in the kitchen leading the staff and establishing a support team, to provide excellent customer service in a professional manner.

You will be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive food service offering a full range from breakfast to lunch, evening menus, daily snacks, formal dinners and social functions for both members, visitors and golf societies.

In addition, the franchisee would have the opportunity to rent accommodation on the premises at beneficial rates.

It would be beneficial to have an understanding of golf and its traditions, but not a requirement.
